What does Silk AI make?
Short AI videos with synced audio — the kind you post to TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp/IG stories. We also generate standalone music tracks and NOVA SILK voiceovers.
How long does a video take?
Usually 60–180 seconds. You'll see live status on the video page (Queued → Rendering → Ready) and it also shows up in your library. You can close the tab — generation continues on our side and the video appears in your library when it's done.
What are the Lite / Fast / Premium quality tiers?
They map to different underlying models. Lite is fast and low-cost and is available on every plan. Fast unlocks on Pro. Premium (highest quality) unlocks on Studio. Higher tiers cost us more per clip, which is why they're on paid plans.
Can I use Silk AI videos commercially?
Free-plan output is personal-use only. Pro and Studio include a commercial-use license — ads, social, YouTube, client work (Studio). Reselling raw output as your own stock library is excluded. See the terms for the full grant and the important restrictions on real people.
Can I make a video of a real person or celebrity?
No. You may not generate a recognizable real person (celebrity, politician, private individual) without their consent, and never to deceive, defame, or impersonate. This is the fastest way to get an account terminated and is prohibited by our terms and the underlying model providers. Use fictional characters and described scenes instead.
Who owns what I generate?
You. We grant you a license to your generations and never train models on your prompts or output. Your prompts are sent to the model provider (Google Veo via OpenRouter for video) to fulfill the request.
What are my daily limits?
Free gives you 5 videos + 5 music tracks every day (plus 10 voiceovers). After that you can pay as you go — UGX 10,000 (~$2.70) per video and UGX 5,000 (~$1.35) per track from your wallet — or subscribe: Pro is 30 videos/day, Studio is 300. Free limits reset at midnight UTC.
How does paying work after my free generations?
Top up your wallet with mobile money (MTN or Airtel Uganda) from the Wallet page, then each extra video or track is deducted from your balance. No subscription required. You can also go Pro/Studio for higher daily limits and better video quality tiers.
A video failed — what now?
Open it from your library and hit Retry — it re-runs the same prompt and doesn't cost you an extra day-credit if the first attempt failed on our side (we refund failed jobs automatically). If Veo's safety filter blocked it, tweak the scene description and try again.
Do you have an API?
Yes — Studio plans get API keys (Settings → API keys) and can call /api/v1/videos and /api/v1/generate programmatically, with the same quotas and webhooks as the web app.
