Terms of Service

1. The Service

Silk AI generates video, music, and voice content from text prompts using third-party AI models — currently Google Veo (via OpenRouter) for video, Google Lyria / Meta MusicGen for music, and Google Gemini for lyrics and voice. The Service is provided as-is during this commercial beta.

2. Ownership & License

You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and the videos, tracks, and voiceovers you generate. Silk AI grants you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute generations made on your account, subject to the restrictions below and your plan tier. Every output carries embedded provenance metadata identifying it as AI-generated by Silk AI.

3. Plan-Based Use Restrictions

• Free: personal, non-commercial use only. No paid distribution, no monetized YouTube, no advertising.
• Pro: commercial use across social media, ads, podcasts, YouTube, and personal merchandise. Reselling raw output as a stock/production library is not permitted.
• Studio: Pro rights plus white-label use, agency reuse for client work, and API redistribution within your own product (no end-user sublicense to redistribute outside it).

4. Synthetic Media — Prohibited Uses

Video generation carries heightened risk of misuse. The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to authorities:

• Real-person likeness. Generating a recognizable real individual — celebrity, public figure, politician, or private person — without their explicit, documented consent. This includes face, voice, and identifiable mannerisms.
• Deceptive media / deepfakes. Creating content designed to deceive viewers into believing a real person said or did something they did not, or that a fabricated event is real. This includes political disinformation and fake endorsements.
• Impersonation & fraud. Impersonating any person or organization, or generating content to facilitate scams, phishing, or financial fraud.
• Non-consensual or exploitative content. Sexual content involving any real person without consent; any sexual content involving minors (which will be reported); intimate imagery of identifiable people.
• Harm & harassment. Defamatory, threatening, or targeted-harassment content; content promoting violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
• IP infringement. Prompts that name living artists or copyrighted works to clone their style, or that reproduce trademarked characters or branding.
• Platform abuse. Bypassing rate limits or quotas, or attempting to extract training data from the underlying models.

Where required by law or platform policy, you must disclose that content is AI-generated when you publish it. You are solely responsible for how you use, label, and distribute your generations.

5. Model Providers & Data

We do not train models on your prompts or output. To fulfill a request, your prompt is forwarded to the relevant model provider — Google (Veo, Lyria, Gemini) via Google Cloud / OpenRouter, and Meta MusicGen via Hugging Face — each acting as a processor under their own terms and acceptable-use policies, which also prohibit the uses in §4. Output is stored in Firebase Cloud Storage with per-user access scoping.

6. Billing, Payments & Refunds

Payments are managed by FMG (US) Company, which acts as the merchant of record and payment processor for Silk AI; charges may appear on your statement under that entity. Card payments are handled by Stripe and mobile-money payments by ioTec, each under their own terms.

Cancel anytime from Settings. Refunds for the current billing period are issued on request within 14 days of charge if you've used less than 10% of your monthly quota. Per-generation day-credits for jobs that fail on our side are refunded automatically.

7. Liability

The Service is provided as-is. Silk AI is not liable for claims — including likeness, defamation, or IP claims — arising from prompts or distribution that violate §4. You agree to indemnify Silk AI against third-party claims arising from your generations. Aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid in the trailing 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
